Hélène George raconte ses 101 jours de captivité d'abord à Ky-Lua et à Langson après le coup de force japonais du 9 Mars 1945, ensuite à Hoa-Binh où les soldats du Viêt-minh la tinrent captive depuis le 19 Décembre 1946.
Le récit est tout "simple, sans prétention littéraire, simple comme le fut l'existence misérable qu'Hélène George partageait avec tant d'autres infortunés prisonniers".
Hélène George tells us of her 101 days in jail, first in Ky-Lua and in Langson after the japanese attack on the 9th of March 1945, then in Hoa-Binh, where she was kept prisoner by the Viet-Minh soldiers since the 19 September 1946.
The account is very "simple, without any literary pretentions, as simple as was the life of Helene George, a life that she was sharing with so many other unfortunate prisoners".
